The big problem with most MLMs is that people are turned off rather easily when you try to present it to them. You can succeed, but it will be difficult.

It takes a lot of comittment and work, much more than people realize.
This woman is shaking up network marketing because she is telling the truth about it. Her program is getting rave reviews.
www.annsieg.com
Her free promo offer is 7 Lies of Network Marketing and if that doesn't shake you up her program is probably not for you. You are going a different route in mlm.

MLM is not for the weak hearted. The personality type that tries a company based on big promises is only setting them selves up for failure. There are alot of people making great money in MLM & not only because they got in on the ground floor. What you must look for in a company is "Duplication". Any jacka$$ can enroll hundreds of people into a company BUT can they teach those people to duplicate the same? This is usually why people fail, their business dies as people drop out.

Myself, I have been an entrepreneur my whole life in business but not very good at selling. My company has been around over 50years & I only joined last year. Within this year I quit my dayjob of owning 2 fitness gyms & now stay at home with my family. At only 30 I am truly living the dream & I owe it all to MLM, a company with proven products recently featured on the Oprah Winfrey show & I dont sell anything....EVER.

In order for a new person to become successful there must be several things in place.

- Is your enroller making money? If not, is his enroller?
- How strong is the upline support? Can you contact them?
- Do you believe in your companies products/services not only because you can make money?
- Key: Is the system to enroll "Duplicatable?"
- Did you have to convince people to join or do they see a need for your product/service?

Forget about all the get rich quick 'HYPE", any moron can promote a 1up or 2up but for the average person out there who wants to truly make money without upsetting other people, can this happen? YES, sure it can.

Personally, I make mistakes all the time when speaking with people...so they know i'm not perfect. I dont have a smooth tone or voice...but, my system makes it so simple that anybody could follow it regardless of age or gender.

Oh, and it doesnt hurt that we were endorsed by Oprah Winfrey on her Earth Day show.

Good luck in your ventures & Stay Positive, you will find your calling if you are truly looking.

The answer to that is an absolute YES!

However, it does depend on a number of factors. Not the least of which is the company you are planning to join.

Here is a dirty little secret of this industry that raises the cackles on the necks of more network marketers than any other FACT that I know of and it is this...

"All companies are not the same"....*gasp* there, I said it...

McDonalds does more product volume than all of the other fast food restaurants combined... Coke does more than Pespi, Microsoft does more than Novell.... the list goes on and on.

Some people never make it in this industry because Uncle Ernie wanted them to sell soap and the last thing they would possibly want to do is dissapoint Uncle Ernie by going to an opportunity where they can actually experience some measure of success.

Uncle Ernie deserves a lot of credit! He introduced them to MLM and that is where they saw "the vision" of what's possible. But the company is another matter all together.

The one thing that always "gets me" is when people say that "all opportunites are the same because it's an "unlimited opportunity" no matter what company you join. Sorry folks, but I think that is nonsense. All opportunities ARE NOT the same for the same reason that all companies outside of MLM are not the same.

There is a VERY DEFINITE reason why some companies languish around for 10, 15, 20... even 50 years and still have HARD WORKING distributors who are only making a few hundred bucks a month.... but they still have the dream.

Well, I admire them for their tenacity. But the fact is, if they spent that same effort in a company that is making waves in the industry, they could see their bottom line soar in a relatively short period of time.

Do they have to believe in the products? I think so.... But just because they fell in love with the hair conditioner from their last company doesn't mean they have to continue to be a distributor in that same company. They can just as easily become a customer of that company and continue to use the products.

They may be dealing with a horrible pay plan, the company name may have a stigma attached, maybe there just aren't any "sizzle" products in the line that can be marketed effectively. Who knows?

I will tell you that I see this "mystery question" of why people leave certain companies for greener pastures far more from some of the older companies than I do with the new guard of the industry. I think it's the old, company loyalty mentality of the last generation that simply doesn't exist anymore except through some of these ancient uplines. Some of them seem almost Kennedy-esque in the way they view themselves.

Now, of course I am using extremes to prove my point but I'm sure you get what I am saying.

People leave companies in MLM for the SAME reasons they do in corporate America.... better opportunity.

You can make it BIG in MLM these days... you can do it RIGHT NOW! You can be earning a six figure income a year from now... you really can do it!... but you need to have the correct tools... you need to be with the right team and in the right company.

I tried Network Marketing a few times but failed dismally, but I do have friends who are doing very well with it. As someone posted, it's definitely not for the faint hearted! But if you're persistent and know how to network and talk to people (not one of my skills ), you can definitely make money with it.

I think one of the tricks I have seen my friends use is to help their enrollees start up by hooking them up with free products and such. they also develop really good relationships in life generally so it works out well for them.

I think there are many ways to make this business work.

One of the first things I do when I enroll a new team member is expose them to Randy Gage's Training (Randy is my sponsor). Then I see where the new team member is. It will mentally "click" for some... but not all.

For the latter I work with them from where they are. I have had some incredible success stories this way. It's all how you approach it.

My company and especially, my team works for people who never had success in the industry before. We have the know how and yes.. even some inside secrets of some of the top trainers in the world. Because if you think that everything there is to know is available from forums, books, CD's and seminars... I have news for you... there's much more. There's very definite reasons why people pay top trainers $250.00 to $500.00 per hour for personal trainings. It's because this is where you learn the inside scoop.

The cool thing is, my team gets it all for free. We are personally trained and mentored by Randy Gage and he gives it all to us as part of being on his A-Team. It's how I went from making $200.00 per month in my former company to generating over one million dollars a year in volume in this company in a little over 19 months.

Wishing you the best of success!

I agree...the answer is YES! A very big YES! But only if you get in with an Honest, Reliable, Proven company or corp who offers a REAL PRODUCT!! All companies that offer "Unlimited Income" are NOT the same!

The corporation I work with offers all that seantrask above pointed out! They offer telephone support, and provide you with all the tools so you don't have to SELL anything. I hate selling...which is why I was so glad to find them. They were recently listed as 37 in the Inc500 and are a well established 7 year old Debt Free corporation. They supply you with a fully automated system including video.

Be Weary of those who claim to get rich over night! It's just NOT going to happen. But DON'T GIVE UP!!!! REPEAT...DON'T. YOU WILL MAKE IT!!!

perhaps the most important thing to realize is...

Building ANY BUSINESS requires investment of CAPITAL.

Just because you can get started in some MLM deal for $50 doesn't mean that you can build it for free.

They usually fail to produce much income because the factors that caused them not to have any money in the first place cause them to continue not to have money to build the business.

Plain Truth.

Don't recruit broke people if you can help it. Broke people are easy to recruit but they don't know how to make money... and most won't learn how with your MLM.

What do I think? Yes, I think it is possible to succeed, the question is though, how many people are willing to WORK hard enough at this business to make it successful? To many people quit too soon and others just never get started.

What do you think matanbl?

It is possible to succeed in anything if you set your mind to it and want it bad enough. With that being said, there are a lot of challenges to overcome with network marketing. That is why there is a 95% failure rate.

If you don't mind the fact that you will need to have at least a 100-200 active distributors in your organization in order to pull in approx a $1000 check.

I agree with seantrask that there are some definite things to look at such as Company and growth thereof, exclusivity of the product,
Duplicatible, and Comp plan.

There are some good Company's out there and the industry has evolved from the old opportunity meetings with now being a part of the online boom. Just make sure to do your due diligence on whatever Company that you look at.

Good Luck
Warmly

That is great advice and I have found from personal experience that it is absolutely true.

When I am talking to someone now and one of their first questions is "how much do I have to pay" then I know I have the wrong person.

People in poverty consciousness unfortunately tend to stay that way.

Yes! and YES!!

With a great product and doubly great system like we offer it would be difficult to not earn a good income and to succeed. My husband was very skeptical at first but with the product and system we offer he is not a skeptic any longer.

It is definitely possible to succeed in network marketing. You have to have a great product that you believe in, a mentor and a company that is totally behind you and always doing things to help you succeed along the way. They just don't forget about you when you join. That is just the beginning. Then with training and the will to succeed you can!

All to often people get started in the MLM business because it was presented in a way that sounded like a piece of cake. Yes there is work involved, Yes you have to treat it like a business because that what it is. Too many people treat it like a hobby therefore they do not succeed.

Most people use the convincing and begging technique to get people to join. When was the last time Microsoft, ABC, General Motors, etc. begged somebody to work for them. You have to treat it as a real business. You first have to have conviction of why you are going to succeed no matter what.

Your prospects need to see that you are going to succeed with them or without them. This is done by developing your skills to get the prospects to talk THEMSELVES into joining your business. If you have to sale them or convince them to join your business, you are going to have to convince them to get to work as well.

Make them tell you why the want to establish a home based business, let them here themself talk about what it would mean to them and their lives if they can make a certain amount of money each month. If you can do this it almost does not matter what your opportunity is you will be successful in your business.

A great website for free training calls on this subject is:

www.danijohnson.com

You can learn the skill sets you need to propser in any business. Check it out I do not get any type of commission. I just plug myself and all my people into her and let her train them the right way. It will also free up your time to focus on the activities that will increase your business. RECRUITING!!!

To your Success,

Harold

I can assure you that starting your own internet based business, especially DIRECT SELLING Businesses(also known as network marketing, multilevel marketing or party-plan marketing) do not have anything to do with how much money you have.

It is all about your efforts in improving your speed of communication.

The greates fortune to be made in the years ahead will not be made in what people were doing 5, 10 or 15 years ago. They will be made in industries that barely exist today.

The internet will be the most important way to do business and to earn money! Find a new and emerging industry, find a new product that will be in demand and work smarter instead of harder. Look where the $1 trillion Wellness Business and the "Greener Planet & Greener Environment Business" is heading!

The most important factor that determines how successful you will be in direct selling is you.

There is a LOT of money to be made, but you have to work for it! And don't expect to become a Millionaire overnight.

Now is the easiest time to become successful in network marketing because of the Internet.

The Internet has made it possible to reach more people more easily than any time before in MLM or network marketing.

Once you acquire the skills of how to market online, there is nothing that will be able to stop you from achieving your financial goals in record time.

But of course it takes time to learn these skills. It's not going to happen overnight.

You just said it!Developing relationships is huge in your success in any network marketing business, whether it is mlm or not...A lot of people are very skeptical ( I know I was!) and not without reason...but if you can develop a relationship with them, as Dani Johnson says..'they will be afraid NOT to join your business - as nobody likes to 'be left out'!

I like her website for training and it is free to join - can't beat that!

I have to agree with the Champ; home-based business is the fastest-growing section of the economy, and turnkey systems have almost been perfected to an exact science. It's amazing.

I was reading a very charismatic network marketer's book, in which he commented that the statistic "90% of home-based businesses fail" is inaccurate; it should read, "90% of people in home-based businesses fail."

Promise yourself you will be here in a year. Don't quit. Stick 'n' stay and you'll get your pay!
