I got into a cash gifting program, which only costs 100 dollars to join.

To "promote" and have others send you money, you had to buy a package - which I did. It was around 600 bucks.

To date (which I joined about 1 1/2 years ago), I received exactly... zilch. Nada, nothing, zero. Oh, I got a lot of emails, which I was supposed to turn over to the program administrator - and I did. But from then on, nothing else happened.

So is cash gifting a scam? Well, the program I joined flopped for me. I'll NEVER join another one no matter how great it sounds because I've learned my lesson.
