Hey Joe new question, I have been on forabout 60 hours now, I just looked in my performance thing and they reviewed 2 calls that I took on the 13th. My review score was like 75 on each because I did basically call them by their name and reiterate what I have done on the acct. It is not ALWAYS necessary and not always appropriate when I have had this poor slob on hold 3x at 10 minutes each. As well, I also feel like as ass saying "OK BOB let me see what I can do for you, OK BOB it looks like..." I connect with them in a difffernt way, some by small chat (no I dont only talk about DTV-some people just want to talk), I had a guy notice I coughed and started asking what kind of a cough and recommended some stuff and then told me he was a Dr. He was happy chatting back and really didnt give a shit about chatting about his favorite show, but just making a connection. I have had more than a dozen customers tell me what a wonderful experience having me on the phone, etc. How polite andwonderful I am blah blah, so how much does their comments effect me keeping my job? Do you have those? Anywya, just venting, I have had a HUGE issue with PALS telling me if a have a tech problem to run the WAHE asst, that is BU......IT!!! I called Tech 2x and they told me the same, it DOES NOT DIAGNOSE, it is only good if you have totally revamped your pc. I am at the point that if they think I suck because I didnt reiterate my call (which I do most of the time) or call them by their direct name, and they want to let me go because of it, SO BE IT. I am tired, frustrated and irritated always trying to fight for or about something..... sorry to rant, HELP, BTW my personal email is [email protected] if anyone wants to write, I dont have time anymore to check this a lot, thanks for your help and listening
Okay just got moved to production yesterday. My first day is Monday 16th. Had a lot of calls. Having trouble with the system saying I've missed calls when I'm on the phone with another person. I have even pressed the more time button and it is giving me calls when I haven't even got off the phone with the first customer. And I feel as though I'm not doing that well. But anyway if someone knows what I'm doing wrong with the calling when I'm not done with the first customer please fill me in, I'm lost.

OK, never let the cx hangup if you can avoid it, the LAST thing you do is while confirming they have no more questioins write up your service request and note it, DO NOT HIT SUBMIT YET, then end your call(physically hangup), hit submit immeadiately and your call bar will go from "m" to "r" to the red "N" automatically, I hope this makes sense, you can not use the more time button, it doesnt work!!!, and you can not end a call using the call log tab either!! IF THE CX hangs up, try to hit the red "n" quickly or if there are calls in the cue you will automatically recieve a call with no opportunity to submit your service request. Hope this helps Joe

Tabitha, I had the same problem for days, sometimes it is not your fault. One night in a 1 hr shift I was bumped out of Rio 16 times. Just tell the caller "please give me one moment while I note your account, put in your notes and then say your Have I answered your questions. That is the only way I have found to make it through without te system kicking me out. feel free to email me at [email protected] if you like. Dont get discouraged, we all went through that, and I still have issues, it is not a very user friendly system I must say.

Hey all I got through my 2nd and 3rd shift with no problem of calls coming in before I was finished with the other call. Not sure what I did, but it worked. I have had a few customers hang up due to a long wait time. But I went back and forth telling them I was trying to resolve their issues. I guess they just got tired of waiting. I hate when that happens, because it makes me feel they are looking at that as its my fault when really I'm waiting on them to help me out on something I'm not quite sure about. But thanks for all the upbeat vibes going on, really brings up my spirit.
Hey all Well this is funny. I had a cust. call and was upset she got put on hold and was waiting a long time. So she hung up and called back. Guess who she got? ME!! Anyway she wanted to talk to a manager, so I tried to call a Pal to find out who I needed to transfer her to. Somewhere in there I got disconnect from Pal and cust. Well little while later I got a phone call saying I never connect a cust with a pal without speaking to them first. Oppps, I didn't know that I had done that, but it happened. Anyway Pal was a little upset, but the customer was just as upset since she could not get in touch with a manager. I tried to find out if I could help her but she insisted on the manager. How do you get a customer to a manager anyway? Anyone know this please let me know so this doesn't happend again. Also if anyone can help me with the activation I need HELP!!! I just can not seem to get this one figured out. I'm open for suggestions. Email me at [email protected] and I will do my best at getting better at this one. System is not friendly.
dani919: I'm having a lot of problems with HR regarding my bonues....is anybody else having same problem? __________________ dani Read my previous posts......Dont give up though, email the hr dept with your issues, you must be extremely specific!!!because they seem to be a bit illiterate..If you know you're right then and get a poor response then you can try to call a PAL, specifically your team lead PAL, they usually tell you to take it up with HR, but if you calmly explain the issue to them they do have supervisor's that can help if you keep getting ignored/screwed by payroll dept. dear y'all, my family is now having financial difficulties, my husband is no longer making the same money as he was making before so im thinking of working full time for west. right now im working for DR but it doesnt give enough hrs...i always have to hunt the sched so i can get an hour but it's really hard catching them. most of the time, i would get broken hours. what i want is a full straight hrs. it seems that Direct TV has a fix sched for its customer service? how much does it pay per hour? i would appreciate your reply. star75074: how much does it pay per hour? $10-$12 per hour,but prior to full production it is minimum wage for training, then 8.00 for On the Job Training. Joe
Hey all again, Just wanted to see how everyone is doing. Mine is not so good. I haven't been able to work since 2/18 due to some kind of error. And everytime I call in it seems that they are not sure what I'm talking about. So I have to explain my situation over and over again. Little bit of a frustration. Someone please help me!! I have been out of work for going on six days now. Everything was supposed to be fixed for my first shift this morning, but guess what, went to login to my shift and got that great error message again. I'm not sure who I need to get in touch with to get this resolved, but six days and no one can seem to get it fixed. They even try to log on to my shift and get the same error as me. What is going on here? Anyone with suggestions on what I could do to get this fixed, I have lost a total of 16 hours with this problem and I'm getting frustrated.
dani919: I just don't understand why we can't get them for the same pay week that we worked ..and talking to Payroll is like listening a broken record The reason you don't get them the same week accorrding to a reliable source is that they only have two people doing the bonuses and they have to go back and check your hours to make sure you qualify and make sure you made the performance. Its a manualy process and they have alot of people to do this with. I am not making excusses for them but thats why it takes a minute to get paid the bonus money. Its not that they are not trying to pay you it just a time consuming process. They were just not ready for the demand and are behind the 8 ball right now. My bet is they have some not so skilled people doing this and they are under pressure to get it done. Just keep track of your hours and expect to wait two to four weeks for the bonus money to show up. If it hasn't showed up by then I would check on it. I am just glad they are offering it because they really dont have too. Buck

I had a problem with my schedule that would not allow me to work. It was because I had a reoccurring schedule when I was in OJT and when I went to production the schedule would not allow me to work because it was OJT and I was locked out of OJT. It took two days to get it fix and now none of my production hours are showing up in my performance. You need to get on the phone with a PAL and let them know your upset that you cant work. Find out who your team leader is or ask to speak with a supervisor and make them fix it while your on the phone. If you havent worked for six days I think you should be escalating by now. Buck

The error message is this: Cirtix Password Manager Experienced an error during intilazation and will now close. Then this comes up: Due to security reasons you are not allowed to open this application. Please re-authenticate. I have called between 3 to 6 times a day and they have escalated it at least 4 times. And this morning they said it was fixed, but guess what, its not. Just wondering if anyone else was having issues. I haven't been able to work in 6 days, which is alot of money I have lost.
