Hello MsDuches, I would also recommend using social sites like twitter and face-book. I am in the process of learning how to do so myself. I have read a bit about this and know many marketers are building huge lists with twitter and face-book. Someone in this thread mentioned building a list by first offering something for free for the first week or two with each new opt in. The advice I have received from the owner of the membership I am with is to learn a little about many traffic building techniques and pic one and get really good at it before choosing another. It's a common thing for new comers like us get information overload. There is such a huge amount of information and many people with different opinions and or styles. I think that is why working on one process at a time and not moving on until you have gotten good at what ever step it is. I hope this is helpful to you. I wish you great success Trsih
"Educate => Understand => Implement=> Master=> Educate=> Understand=> Implement => Master......that is my 5c worth Carl" Thanks for this quote Carl, I'll take it step by step. Information overload can eat away at motivation like a grasshopper on mustard greens.
I have one last thing I would like to share with everyone on this subject. I recently discovered a man named Scott Martineau. Scott Martineau founder of the renowned Conscious One and author. He teaches people how to understand and connect to our core values and how to use them as filters for directing our lives in the most positive and efficient ways. I am paraphrasing somewhat but basically he teaches that if we know what our core values really are then we can lead in business both online and offline more effectively. He specifically address's online business because that is his passion. Anyway I just wanted to through that out there for those of you who may be interested in what he has to offer. When we seek to create or build from a place of caring for ourselves and others, we can't go wrong. Traffic will follow Again I wish us all great success, Trish
Hi Trish: I, too, am a believer. I believe in a higher being or the universal source or whatever name one wishes to apply. All creation has been made available to us. I do believe that. But I don't believe that a passive 'i wish for this' approach will amount to anything. Here's how I have it pictured: a word creates an idea: an idea creates a plan; a plan creates action; action creates fulfilled desires. I'm not good at this, not having the words to express exactly what I mean. Believing opens doors and actions pushes you through the door. I liked the way , Carl I think, expressed it earlier. Contemplate>Educate>Master>Achieve. Well, it was something like that. Bob Proctor is one of the best ever at putting these things into words.
I like the way you put it. I didn't mean to sound like I thought it to be a passive I wish. I to am not always good at explaining or describing what I mean.. Also in regards to Scott Martineau, his process requires allot of work. Mainly the message I have recently been hearing is that it is (what ever that it is for each person) is already here for us and then we need to live it, feel it, breath it, and of course work for it. I didn't mean to sound like is does not require any work on our part. I think that Scott Martineau and Wayne Dyer both have really solid theories as to how to obtain our dreams and desires. I am more familiar with Wayne Dyer and his book "The Power of Intention". Good stuff! Success to us all!!......
Hi Trish. I love it when folks get comfortable enough with each other to start swapping heart felt ideas and beliefs. Isn't the internet a great communication tool? heart to heart and mind to mind. Thanks for responding. I'm hanging with bob proctor just now but i wonder, which i always do, if maybe the whole process is a 'personalize' exercise more so than the 1, 2, 3 steps most theorist promote. I probably won't live long enough to answer that. The one part I really do have down pat is the grateful part. I do love my life and i am so grateful. You take care and have a great day.
Hi Back Dixiedaze, I agree, remembering to be grateful is a huge part of is. I'm not sure what you mean by the process is a personalized exercise? I'm curious if you want to explain.... I think what you mean is that it is what ever works for the individual person. If so I would agree. I think that what ever it is that helps a person reach there potential in a positive way is cool. There are no hard and fast rules fit for everyone. Each person needs to find what works and feels right to them. I agree also that the internet is a hugely cool thing and way for people to meet and get to know each other. Without it we most likely would never meet. I am kind of a home body so this really is the only place that I meet new people these days....a little pathetic maybe..lol..... You have a super great day to! success to us all!!!!!!!! Trish
Oh my - traffic exchanges!!! Where do I start? Traffic exchanges are good for testing a new lead capture page and giving away FREE stuff, but that's about it. Everyone is too busy "surfing" for points to bother with reading the pages. They're waiting for the countdown to the next site. Learn to market using sticky methods that will build solid traffic for you over the months and years to come. I have articles I wrote 5 years ago that still generate traffic and sales. Brand yourself and market yourself to build rapport online.
