I have worked for Cloud10 previously, both before and after they were bought out by Transcomm and since their buyout in my experience it is not a good company as far as caring about their employees, their tech support is a joke and their systems can cause a lower geared hard drive to burn out its drive motor. So please be cautious when working for them, but as far as pay and hours goes i never had a problem with that.

Cloud 10 is a decent company to work for. There are up and down sides. Up side, they really do pay you. It's a real job. It's a little frustrating if your internet goes out, but they're pretty understanding. The training is easy - just listen mostly. And the hours are flexible. If you don't like your schedule, you can trade shifts, let other people get your shifts, or get shifts from others. (If you've never worked for customer service, though, don't do it. You need the experience with fighting with old programs.) The down side: The pay delay. You will get paid, but if you're like me you need the money sooner rather than later. Because the training is paid by completion bonus, that means you don't get a paycheck while training. There's also a 2 week pay period with a one week delay. So if you get a 5 week training that ends on the first day of the 2 week pay-period, then you have to wait until that pay-period is over and a week has passed to get paid for those 2 weeks and your training bonus. Essentially it took 2 months to get paid. They also require a faster internet service than is currently available where I live. DSL just isn't fast enough.

No its nothing like that are far as selling. You are rarely calling anyone its pretty much an inbound call center. Customer are calling in to pay/discuss bill or to tshoot services. Its fun actually

I am currently in a "on hold" status with Cloud 10 Corp & have a project interview scheduled for later today. But, I have a question about the training pay. Some where I either read or heard that the training pay is not paid until training is completely finished, so if training is 6 weeks than you don't get paid for 6 weeks plus. Is this true? OMG, I hope not because I not sure I can make ends meet for that long after starting a job.

Cloud 10 is a joke. I applied, past all the required assessments, scheduled a phone interview for tomorrow. This evening I received an email asking me to choose my preferred schedule and I did that. I got an email back telling me that those times were filled and automatically canceled my interview! After several emails back and forth to the HR Department, I finally told them where they could stick it. If this company is as poorly run as this I want no part of them. I also did further research and there are many complaints from employees not getting paid. BEWARE AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

I have a few questions. Today I applied at liveops and cloud10. I was wondering how hard it was to get a job at these places. I was also wondering how long it would be before I heard back. If anyone can help me please let me know! Thanks!

Hello ginnyb2010,
I also recently applied to cloud 10 and pretty much heard back within a day or two. I've pretty much completed all the steps and my phone interview is scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Ths forum has pretty much answered all my questions. Especially from here2helpu, I think is the user I'll have to go back. But I would gather that if you have a clear, concise and pleasant speaking voice then chances are you're hired. Of course this is only my opinion. But it sounds like all they really want to know at this interview is that your machine will meet their requirements.

Anyway I'll let you know how it goes and you do the same.

Good Luck!

Beau

Well I had my phone interview today and really there's nothing to it. They ask questions that you've all ready answered in previous steps..... Are you working now, are you in school now, would you be interested in general customer service, tech support, or sales... and what do you know about the company.... Then they have you open a blank Word document and write a one or two sentence answer, in bold and underlined, to why you think you'd be a good candidate for Cloud 10 and email it to them.

A couple hours later I got a reply which said.....
Cloud 10 would like to thank you for all the time you have invested in our hiring process. We have changed your status to â€"On Hold” which means you will be contacted when we have a project that matches your skills and our business needs. At this time we are not able to give you an exact date when a project will be available. We will keep your application on file until you receive a minimum of 10 project opportunities which will be approximately 4 to 6 months. If you have not accepted a project in that time your application will go into an inactive status and you will no longer receive project opportunities. You can reapply 6 months after your application goes into an inactive status. Human Resources Cloud 10 - A Transcom Company [email protected].

And there you have it... Needless to say I can't wait no 4 to 6 months but we'll see what happens. I hope this answers some of your questions....

Okay well it's the very next night and they sent me an offer for the Open Range project..... I still have to interview for that which I set up the same way as the original phone interview. That's on Friday evening. It's tech support/customer service which is what I want so we'll see what happens and I'll keep you all informed!

I did some research online on Cloud 10 for a friend & found not many if any good reviews, which is sad to hear as it did sound promising on their site. I on the other hand have been working for just under a year as an independent contractor for a company that I think is great. They do have some issues, but their tech support & partner support is great (does take a bit of time to get a response though sometimes), but nonetheless I have been pleased with finding them. You have to take & pay for your own training, but there are times when it is free (get a voucher) or reduced. Some even have deferred payments with a lump sum upfront & the remainder paid over several pay periods. They pay every 2 weeks, hourly pay ranges from $8.25-$11 p/h, with many of them offering incentives. Some of the clients (who you directly service) are just service, while some are service & sales. You can find opportunities like internet chat, incoming service/sales. You have to express interest & if you are chosen you will take the training, must pass the final exam (mock calls, or mock chats) & then you must sign a contract to service for a certain amount of time (most contracts are anywhere from 2months-4months at a time). They send you the new one just before then end of your current to sign, if you don't sign & return then you can't continue to service. You have to meet a certain standard of all current clients in order to be considered for another one. Which for the most part is a commitment adherence (work schedule) of no less than 90% & also some may even require no terminations self or otherwise on file. The clients that you service are all big name companies. Also, many may require that you pass a drug test. Also, to apply & even be considered as an independent contractor before you even take basic training you must pass a criminal background check.

It does cost money to join, roughly $100, then about another $100 for the initial basic training, but since you are an independent contractor you can write all those expenses off.

I am happy so far. Some of the clients are 24hrs, while some are 9am-11am daily. Most if not all require a minimum # of hours to be worked on weekends. Hours are posted every week that at a certain time (each client is on a different day & time), so it's your responsibility to go grab your hours. There is no guarantee that you will get what you want, but I can tell you if you are interested in late evening early morning (8pm-2am), those seem to be available quite readily for many of the clients that offer 24hr service.

I suggest you check them out & see if you like them & their structure. If you have questions, don't hesitate in contacting me or them.

BTW: I am not in any way an owner of the company, but just a happy person that likes the ability on being able to work from home & get decent pay for it. With good support & good clients to work for.

Update on Working for Cloud 10 Corp

I applied for this company.I went through the steps they required to get hired. I even bought another desktop because i had a laptop that they said you could not use. They require you have a desktop with a 32 bit with no SP1 and i had a 64 bit. I downgraded for there company just because they promised that i would be able to pick up one of there Comcast projects. It finally came down to the project. My desktop still had SP1 attached but Human Resources said it might work but from what they understand the software they had has had issues with it in the past.Would you believe that for about 2 weeks before the project started they would not tell me that i had to get all these things changed until one day before my training started. They made this excuse up that they had mixed my computer results up with someone elses. That i only needed to change one thing. (The Sp1) of course. I ordered a disk from dell to down grade. By that time they tell me that i missed my training and that i can train the next session which was 4 days later after the holiday. I email them back and they say oh "This is the first time in years that no one dropped out so i am sorry but you will have to wait for the next training day" Yeah o.k.!!! I have been sitting here i email them once in a while for updates. Of course it takes them long to respond until i email them and say, Hey maybe your not getting my email because you are too busy. Huh they reply oh i am sorry we are still waiting for the training ok date. 3 days after that i get a email we are always trying to improve our company and the way our employees perform we require a assessment test to be taken now to be considered for any other positions we may have open. I may not be the smartest but i usually pass test i take with at least an 80%. All of a sudden i get this email from HR dept. Thank you for your test but at this time we can't offer you employment you did not meet our test score qualifications. Well i bought a new desktop..They knew that.I bought the headset they asked me to purchase. I faxed all my personal info and even mailed out my I9 they asked for..I done everything they asked of me. Well i am sure some had been lucky to have a good experience with them at one point but i do have to say that the company is so upside down and very unfair. I would not waste my time and just letting anyone know out there to be careful unless you like to be thrown around hoop too hoop. I asked for a copy of my test because i think they are fool of it and have not got a answer yet. I Personally think that they don't have many clients that give them business because all i here about is comcast projects so they can't give you anything else to do so they use all these excuses to get you off there back so you don't get upset for having to wait around. How horrible a company would be so sour. They need a taste of there own medicine. They have excuses for everything..BEWARE .......
