Thanks, I was thinking that I had applied and changed my mind because I didn't want the set hours, its not that I don't want to work that many its just I never know which ones I can work from week to week.

Hi Vagabond,

I've been lingering around the forum for a while and just know decided to join. I'm wondering about the log in information as well. I took my web*nar on Oct. 22 and I haven't heard anything. They just told me it could take up to 14 days. They didn't say if it was business days or not. I've been calling pay and still no logins. I was wondering did you ever hear anything. Any feedback from anyone else is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

gaarhome,

I took the webinar on the 9th of October and still do not have logins, I called every week and they said call back, last week I got a nice pal who said they had the user ID but were waiting on password from nbc if I did not have them this week to call back, I called yesterday and got a rude pal who first said they had sent them on the 16 th, then changed that to they were requested on the 16th and when I pointed out that the last pal said they were requested on the 10th, he said "oh, thats right it was the 10th" then he said that it could take 30 days and they would not be considered late till after the 9th of November. By the way he had no record of any of my previous calls. I don't think I even want to do this anymore it is already screwed up and I haven't even started.

OK, I just got my password for Oracle, 4 weeks to the day. I have a question though, I remember someone saying their e-mail said that you would need to change the password when they logged in, all my e-mail said was that they had received my password, told me what it was and that was it. No this is what you do, no further instructions. What did everyone else's say?

I had to change mine, but you'll know if you do because as soon as you login in for the first time it will take you straight to the change password screen and make you change it.

eber3,

Thanks, did it say that in the e-mail, or did it just tell you that once you logged in? Also, how long did it take to log in? Did you have to log in early to start work on time?

The email told me I'd have to change it, but didn't really say how. I think it took about ten minutes my first time. Normally I log into gateway five minutes before my shift and hit "start work" button because it sometimes takes that long for ADE and Oracle to load.

nuctread, just review your training before you start and do your best. Ask pals questions using the chat function, they are usually helpful but not always fast to reply. And any thing that comes up that you don't know how to do, be sure to review that in training after your shift is over or call into pal line for assistance. Good luck.

RO,

I was wondering how far you went into the tele-tech. I am taking what I think is a webinar Monday but I think it is just for more info on the company. I took the online assessment and stuff, it seemed to me most of the questions are geared toward either sales or management. I know I remember taking it before but either it was a little different or I never finished it, I don't remember which, I have never taken the online meeting before, I assume the next step after that will be the interview. Do you know what type of calls they take or how hard the training is?

Vagabond,

I stop after the phone interview...when she told me I had to work weekends I immediately turned it down on the phone. I just let her know that it would not work for me because i need my weekends...i mean she said it would be mandatory to work every weekend not just some! I'm sorry not for me...If you don't mind the weekends then overall, I've heard is an ok job but extremely busy (call after call) it's not for everyone so i wish you luck. let me know what happens.

RO,
I did the web meeting today and while they have some great benefits I don't think it is for me. You were right, you have to work every weekend with two days off during the week, aside from that, you have to give them a 6-8 hour window that you will be available to work those days and they pick your schedule from that, it could change every week as long as it falls into those hours you gave them 4-6 hour shifts and it only starts at 8.50 per hour and you max out at 9.50 per hour.

To be committed to 20-30 hours per week on a changing schedule and work every weekend they would have to offer a lot more money and even then I know I couldn't stick to it.

Oh well, live and learn.

Vagabond,

I'm happy you said no that is pretty low cash to commit weekends too! I mean our weekends mean something right? Anyway, try babytobee is pretty cool and is easier than what you probably thinking. You can log in anytime you want make your own shedule and tons of support from the babytobee work forum. I don't listen to others spitting out there experiences (negative) because personally, I believe we should all try it ourselves first before we conclude if is the right job for you. I enjoy talking to people on the phone and what i really like about babytobee is simple...i get respect and get treated like a real independent contractor which is what I was looking for all this time. If you want flexibility, and enjoy talking to people on the phone than pm and I'll tell you more about the job. Best of all, is not easy to find a work at home job paying you as well as babytobee pay!

P.S.

I do take other peoples experiences in consideration I don't totally disregard it. However, if it is a general experience (meaning is happening to everyone that is working for that company). Then is worth listening before applying for the job. But so far I've heard just personal experiences and not everyone feels that way. It is what you make it out to be and nothing more. Hope that helps...

New hours? I leave gateway open and periodically check for new hours. Just this afternoon I found a ton of new hours posted. It seems to be off and on with no set time frame. Yesterday I only had 9 hours scheduled, now I have 16 for this week. There are a ton on Sunday right now, who knows! I'm just happy for the 16 I have, even if they are only 10pm to 2am right now.

Well girls,
After waiting 4 weeks for my password and then waiting another week to find a 30 minute slot that I could be awake for, I attempted to start work tonight (this morning actually) when it told me to change my password it would not let me change it, I tried for a while and then I called a pal, he said it had to be 8 (not 7) characters with one cap and one number, so, I tried some more, no luck, so I called back got him again (thank God) he was really nice and when he tried to do it and it wouldn't let him either, apparently this does not happen to many people, so now they have to reset my password which they will e-mail me within 24 hours (maybe).

This could be a sign, if I believed in that kind of thing.

vagabond,

The exact same thing happened to me! My first login didn't work and they sent me a new one, which luckily did.

eber3,

How long did it take? He said usually immediately but up to 24 hours,
it has been almost 12 hours already so I guess it wasn't immediate.

I think I was fired but I don't know why. After I got my new password, I had hours scheduled for Sat, I checked today to see if any more had been added and my hours were gone, went to the home sight and the nbc info is gone, on the training it says terminated, eligible for rehire, no info no nothing, I have never been fired in my life and the worst part is I don't know what happened. I suppose it could be some type of mistake but I am so shocked I don't know who to ask about it or even if I want to.

I think they are having some mixups all over the board. They are jipping me hours (I worked a 10pm to 2am shift and they only have me logged in for 10-11 and then 12-2 which means my sa sucks) and now they are jipping me for a bonus from the weekend of 11/7 - 11/9 saying my sa was only 82.5% on one of the shifts which I KNOW was incorrect. The website even has my sa at 105% for that day..... if I didn't need the $ so badly I would throw in the towel *sigh*

I know there are going to be mistakes and oversights on any job but considering all the miscommunication and problems I have had just trying to start (I haven't even worked yet) and now I am terminated before I did anything, it may be for the best, I don't think I could take that much confusion.

vagabond,

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get to work. My guess is that they already have to many people on this skill. It's hard to get any hours, I'm work here and there over the course of each day and grabbing any hours that appear. I can't even get a good sleep in. When I'm not working I'm sitting here trying to snatch up any hours that might appear.

Vagabond,

It may sound like you were fired but I don't think so...reason said is because I had the same problem a year ago when they took epic from me after I had train/pass that skill. I did not even worked that skill once...Then I called a pal he told me that they were overstaffed on that skill and they had decided to drop some people of it...turns out I was one of the unfortunate ones they dropped. Anyway, shortly after that I got an invite for another skill. I have to tell you that I have not received an invite as of yet and this is the second week in since I resigned from snbc. so, I don't know when I will get another skill. Hang in there, you're are not alone I just found out that babytobee is not at all what I thought it would be turns out...I have to keep a minimum points to work more than 10hrs! It is hard to make those points so I'm stuck working only 10hrs a week with that job. I am really dissapointed and things are not so good. I am seeking other opportunities in the meantime I'm still studying my ass off! lol MT! Until then I will be joining the many that are in my boat! lol
Good luck,
Ro

P.S Vagabond,

I forgot to mention that if Wst had fired you...you would not be able to enter the westnet site. Is only for employees. It just mean that you don't have snbc anymore...which in my opinion was the fuss there are no hrs anyway only at nightime. Don't worry something will come along is on its way and it is meant to be. Hang in there tell what! Let's hang together LOL!
